RD Winery carefully selects premium fruit from various vineyards in Napa Valley adhering to strict quality assurance processes and American Viticulture Area (AVA) regulations (AVA is a designated wine grape- growing region in the U.S. that is distinguishable by its geographic features). When the annual harvest season approaches, RD Winery's master winemaker, Marie Schutz, begins the crafted art of transforming the vineyard grapes into a sophisticated, pallet-tantalizing wine. Every decision from when to harvest and how to blend is a decision based on over a decade of wine-making experience and knowledge. Once the fruit is harvested, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks that are temperature regulated by modern technology in order to ensure a stable fermentation. When primary fermentation completes and the grape juice is transformed into wine, it is placed in oak barrels to undergo secondary fermentation and then finally to nurture and enhance the wines' flavor profiles. RD Winery's master winemaker uses her experienced palate to continually taste and evaluate each wine to ensure its proper aging as well as the ideal time to bottle for the consumer's enjoyment. RD, Napa Valley branded wines have been widely distributed in Vietnam and in select areas in the United States. RD produces twenty different labels over six different varietals. With such a diverse and grand portfolio, RD wines can satisfy and be appreciated by a large variety of consumers with a wide range of tastes. RD Winery has five labels of high end Napa Valley red wines "55", "66", "77", "88" and "99", each of which contain three varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. RD also produces two California Cabernet Sauvignon blends, one under the label "R7" and the other under a festive red label. Three white wine varietals round out the remaining portfolio: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion.
